About Shri Ashok Haranahalli :
Ashok Haranahalli was the Former Advocate General of Karnataka and designated Senior Counsel of the High Court of Karnataka. He is the son of Haranahalli Ramaswamy, a Gandhian and Former Law Minister of Karnataka. Being the son of a freedom fighter, he possesses an unyielding sense of social responsibility and righteousness that complements his professional achievements. With a lot of respect and reverence, we at the firm refer to him as “Senior”.
At the firm, Sri.Ashok Haranahalli is our mentor and guide and gives the firm its vision and direction through his advice and mentorship. In his illustrious career spanning over three decades, he has played a crucial role in high profile cases pertaining to Constitutional law, Administrative law, Election Law, Service laws etc.

Ashok Haranahalli has over 35 years of Practice at the High Court of Karnataka. He was appointed as Advocate General of Karnataka. Ashok Haranahalli has appeared in the Bangalore Mysore Corridor case, Mining cases and other cases in the Supreme Court of India. He has been appointed as Amicus Curiae in a few cases including the Michelin Tires case, case on Fundamental Duties and other cases, in the High Court of Karnataka.
He is the retainer Counsel for the Central Bureau of Investigation and Standing Central Government Counsel at High Court of Karnataka. Ashok Haranahalli was appointed as Counsel for the Commission headed by Justice Shivashankara Bhat to investigate the case of Airbus A320 plane crash at Mangalore Airport.
Ashok Haranahalli is involved in several other activities that focus on giving back to the society. He is the Chairman of Malnad Technical Education Society, a Trustee of the Loka Shikshana Trust and has been on the Board of Karnataka Bank since 2012.
In 2009, Ashok Haranahalli received the 'Law Day' award from Vice President of India in recognition of his exemplary services. Ashok Haranahalli was also conferred with Kempegowda award and Aryabhatta award.
Ashok Haranahalli enjoys reading philosophy. Ancient Indian Philosophy, Baruch Spinoza and Henry David Thoreau are of particular interest to senior.
